Supported file types
Verilak removes metadata from documents, images, audio, video, email and archives. Files inside files are cleaned as well. What cannot be done safely stays blocked.

What Verilak blocks
Verilak would rather report a file in red than let it pass as clean by mistake. These files are blocked, with the reason:
- Encrypted files and archives
- Archives with path tricks, links or zip bombs
- RAW photos (CR2, NEF, DNG), because removing manufacturer data can break development
- Visio files, until they have been tested with real files
- Unknown file types, or a file whose content does not match its extension
Verilak determines the file type from the content, not from the extension. A PDF called photo.jpg is treated as a PDF.
